Product Details

This one-day Safeguarding Children and Adults course provides learners with an understanding of abuse and how vulnerable people can be taken advantage of. The course informs people of the signs to watch out for and how to handle a situation where someone discloses abuse.

The discussions during the course highlight what you see does not always make sense and alone will not suggest abuse is taking place; however you may be holding a piece of the jigsaw and by reporting your information, someone else gets a fuller picture.

Everyone has the right to be safe without fear of abuse, neglect or exploitation and this course helps everyone help prevent this from happening or occurring again. The course will consider how safeguarding works in your organisation and what you can do to carry out your role without putting yourself at risk of accusations.

The Safeguarding of Adults at Risk was previously referred to as Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) and this course covers content originally found in POVA courses.
