Level 2 Basic Life Support and Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator

The survival rate of a casualty in cardiac arrest will dramatically increase if an AED is available and people have the confidence to use the simple and safe machines.

This very practical course will enable you to carry out resuscitation and use the AED competently.

Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid

This one-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course has been designed for those who need basic child and infant life support knowledge including management of epilepsy, anaphylaxis and minor wounds.

The course partly fulfils the 12 hours paediatric first aid training required by Ofsted/ESTYN and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Level 3 Immediate Management of Anaphylaxis

Anaphylactic shock, or anaphylaxis, is a life-threatening, serious allergic reaction to an allergen such as food substances or insect stings. Appropriate treatment is critical to survival. This training is for qualified First Aiders from Emergency First Aiders or above, to enable them to recognise and treat anaphylaxis safely and effectively.

A course for those who work with children and infants. Ideal for teachers, child minders and anyone responsible for children's welfare. This course satisfies the criteria for first aid as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted/ESTYN.

The course includes basic child and infant life support, minor wounds, factures and  medical conditions such as infantile convulsions, asthma and meningitis.

Level 1 Awareness First Aid for Mental Health

Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition either themselves or a family member, friend or colleague.

This awareness course is suitable for everyone. It provides learners with knowledge which will enable them to recognise a suspected mental health condition and the skills to start a conversation in order to signpost a person towards professional help.

As of November 2018, Mental Health provision is in the HSE First Aid needs assessment.
