When I woke up on the 1st January 2020 I never predicted the year ahead. 2020 has seen many ups and downs and many changes. Before the lockdowns even came in, people were pulling out of courses for their own safety and the courses were getting cancelled.
But we have adapted! We can now offer courses as e-learning, virtually or face to face with the help of our new Learning Management System. We now offer Mental Health virtually and as an e-learning. This gave us the option to offer electronic certificates and managers to see their staff's Dewi Development certificates. Moving forward we will be able to use the system to offer blended learning when face to face returns.
During the school closures, we delivered first aid videos supported with online resources for children to learn at home.
We have delivered first aid courses to key workers from Emergency First Aid to Paediatric First Aid.
We have continued to network with many other businesses, but in the virtual world. I have also delivered talks on the importance of Mental Health to businesses owners and employees.
Looking into 2021 we have a very busy start to the year and we are optimistic this will continue throughout with a range of courses and consultancy work.
In the final days of 2020, we hope you get the chance to relax and enjoy with families or friends via Zoom, Facebook, Whatsapp, Facetime and all the other virtual technologies.
Thank you to existing and new customer for your on going support and custom in 2020.
Big aspirations for 2021
While we have seen many changes through 2020, we are still striving to develop the business. These are just some of things we plan to deliver in 2021.
In quarter one we will be launching a new e-commerce site, which will allow you to book courses directly, buy e-learning modules, track your course bookings, download your invoices and quickly reorder a course.
Business Wellbeing Analyst
We will be starting our consultancy work, helping businesses review how their process, systems, environments and culture impact on people's mental health. We will support businesses implement recommendations to improve wellbeing while many work from home.
We will be launching our conflict managment modules as e-learning, virtual training and face to face.
We will be launching by the end of quarter two safeguarding as an e-learning program. This will include awareness of safeguarding for all staff and knowledge of safeguarding for mangers.
Spread the cost
We will provide the option to set up a contract to train a set number of people a year, with the option to pay monthly rather than in one big hit. You will be able to have accredited courses every three years with continual professional development in the years in between.
Safety of courses We will continue to deliver essential courses face to face to key worker staff during periods of lockdown. This will ensure staff remain safe should an accident occur.
I hope you have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year.
